The purpose of this site is to virtually place you in the destination and provide guidance/touring plans/recommendations along the way. Ultimately, this is another data point in your discovery on whether to spend your hard-earned money on a trip by leveraging the virtual tour that we provide.

John:
Hi, My name is John (the one on the right above). I am a husband and a father of three young children. I have a strong desire to travel. When I was a young adult I had seen many places in the United States but I wanted to explore more destinations. After college, and a few years into my career in IT, I decided that I wanted to see as much as Europe as possible within my allotted vacation days. I had two weeks of PTO so I began my planning. My solo trip ultimately started in Rome and ended in Dublin using only train/ferry travel. So, off I went into the research phase.
In my research I discovered that, although, there are really good travel guidebooks, websites, travel shows, etc I felt like something was missing. I was able to view many pictures but I wondered “How can I find a way to more closely feel like I am in a location and test my experience before I spend a lot of money….How can I minimize risk?” Thus began my journey into the integration of the travel guide experience with virtual touring/360 photography. Years later Trip Test Drive was launched.
JJ:
Hi I am JJ (the left in the image above). Travel has been a dream of mine since I was little. John and I’s parents have always traveled the world as far back as I can remember. So we were born with that gene. There is nothing more exhilarating than experiencing an unknown land and learning the culture.
I have traveled to 15 different countries so far and I plan on making that list grow and grow as long as I live. This may come off as strange but planning a trip is one the funnest parts of traveling for me. I planned my trips through Europe, Russia and Scandinavia. I sometimes catch myself looking at google maps and mentally preparing for what that next trip might be. From my experiences and research, what better way to plan a trip but to live it virtually before taking that flight, car ride or even walk. That way you are ready and the surprises/anxiety are minimized drastically before taking that first step into the unknown. My brother and I’s goal is for you to experience that trip of a lifetime with minimal stress and at the same time we get to live our dream. It’s a win win for everyone.
